Jake

7/23/2010 - 11/6/2024 Our boy needed a dog, so we all went and picked out Jake from a new litter of Jackabee (Jack Russell/beagle hybrid) pups in the summer of 2010. Well, it didn’t take long for Jake to pick me out (Mom) as his human. From that point on, he was with me wherever I went. Tim would call him my Immer Hund (German for Always Dog). Sometimes he would simply sit and gaze at me, but usually he would arrange a blanket just perfectly and burrow into it with nothing showing but his snout and a glisten from his eyes visible from deep within the recesses of the blankey nest. As Jack Russell’s often are, he was very athletic and loved agility courses. He enthusiastically attacked every obstacle - our coach had to tell us to take it down a notch sometimes when he would leap over bars that were much higher than a dog his size should be jumping. He was not a fan of the teeter totter though and would fly right on by that challenge every time. He was a good companion for over 14 years and left quite a hole in my life when he crossed the rainbow bridge. Good boy Jake Tegan (Jake’s Mom)
